The Careleaversmaps.org project

This is what more than 7,000 young people do every day in Italy. They are care leavers — young people who grew up outside their families and who are expected to become adults overnight, on their eighteenth birthday.
For them, the future means housing, school, university, a driver’s license, bills, documents, a doctor, contracts, the gym, a psychologist, sports, rent… It is everything that has to be built, found, understood, or sorted out day by day. A sea of questions that need answers — preferably quickly.

For this reason, we created careleaversmap.org — a place you can access from anywhere with just a couple of clicks, where you can find as many answers as possible. No beating around the bush, but phone numbers, addresses, emails, opening hours, professions, first and last names. A practical, organized, up-to-date directory.
A way to shorten the journey between a question and its answer. Between a potential problem and your future. Which, as someone once said, is today.  

To build careleaversmap, we did what Agevolando has always done. We listened to those young people — we asked the care leavers themselves. Those from the Care Leavers Network di Agevolando.
Together, we asked ourselves every possible question, divided them into categories (well-being, housing, work, education, documents), searched locally for where to find the answers, and gathered and organized everything here.

We did it where we are: in Piemonte, Lombardia, Emilia-Romagna, Umbria, Toscana, Lazio, Sicilia and Sardegna.
And we will continue to do so, listening to their questions and searching for the answers together with them.
